Nick Biondo
Commissioner Biondo has almost 30 years of experience with GNFD, on the line and as a Commissioner, and has dedicated his life to Community Service. Commissioner Biondo has a passion for Fire Prevention and educating the public on fire safety and awareness. He understands how an efficient Fire Department can manage their budget, provide the best service to the community, and foster a healthy relationship between Administration and Labor personnel.
Nick Biondo, a retired firefighter with 27 years of experience in the fire service, served as Deputy Chief and Fire Marshal specializing in Fire and Life Safety. With a deep understanding of relevant codes and regulations, Nick's passion for community safety led him to running for Board of Fire Commissioners. He has been a resident in Collier County for over 30 years.
Former Deputy Chief Biondo began his career with the East Naples Fire Control & Rescue District on January 5, 1989 and retired from Greater Naples Fire Rescue District on August 14, 2015. During his tenure Chief Biondo served as Union President, Collier County Fire Marshals Association President and has been a long-time member and supporter of the Florida Fire Marshals and Inspectors Association. Deputy Chief Biondo became the officer in charge of Fire Prevention (now Fire & Life Safety) in 2002 and has significantly contributed to the success and growth of the Division. He also has played a major role in the success of the District’s Toy Drive Command for many years.
